Elderly Client Care

Have you considered what may happen if you become seriously ill, if you have an accident or if, through infirmity you are unable to deal with your own affairs?

The first thing to do, whenever possible is to make a Lasting Power of Attorney so as to ensure that your affairs are entrusted the person or persons who you personally wish to appoint and so that you have the maximum input into the arrangements.

We have many years experience looking after the affairs of elderly or infirm clients. Wherever possible this work is carried out using a Lasting Power of Attorney but on occasions this is not possible and we then apply to the Court of Protection for appointment as a Deputy of the Court of Protection. This enables us to make arrangements to pay Nursing or Care home fees, to liaise with the family and loved ones regarding essential decisions and to closely monitor investments.

Our Avis Eldercare service ensures that the day to day worries of pension receipts, bill payments etc are taken care of and that longer term financial and other decisions are taken not only with full consultation but with the best of professional advice and assistance.
